Disabling The AutoComplete Function

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later then you must follow and complete the instructions given in this chapter to disable the ‘AutoComplete’ function and thus prevent your password and username from being disclosed to unauthorised users. This problem arises due to the ‘AutoComplete’ function in V5.0 (or later) of Internet Explorer which allows details of all web pages visited, including password and usernames to be displayed. This is only an issue on the computer that is used to access the Electronic C.R.F., therefore if you are the only user of that computer then no action is necessary.

Disabling ‘AutoComplete’

STEP 1: To disable the ‘AutoComplete’ function you must first start Internet Explorer and select the Tools Menu. From this menu list you must select the ‘Internet Options’ item.
