STUDY OBJECTIVES:

To compare the efficacy, response time, morbidity and economics of a high-dose and a low-dose immune-tolerance protocol.
To identify predictors of successful ITI.

STUDY HYPOTHESES:

High-dose ITI will achieve tolerance more rapidly than low-dose ITI but will have a similar overall success-rate.

Low-dose ITI will be more cost effective than high-dose ITI.

The morbidity associated with the two regimens may be dissimilar.
Lower starting inhibitor titres will be associated with greater success than higher titres.
